By now everybody knows the 2025 draft class isn’t filled with blue chip talent; but, it’s filled with gems and awesome players down the board and Andreas Keaton out of Temple is one of those guys.
Andreas is not only a great player on the field but off the field as well, the transfer from Western Carolina came into Temple a leader, earning a single digit which if you heard about Jordan Magee last year, know it’s a huge deal for the Owls. Keaton was a captain for the team in multiple games in 2024. Along with these leadership qualities teams are bound to fall in love with, he fills the stat sheet as well. In just 2024 he had 67 total tackles, 3 passes defended, and 1 interception. However, since 2021 Keaton has had a nose for the football tallying 6 interceptions through 4 years.

Andreas Keatons Report —
Keaton is a force over the middle, he has adequate play strength to hold his own at the next level. His tackling form is awesome not often are you going to see him miss when coming down on a player. His coverage skills are adequate and his hips are so loose that he can change directions with no problem or hesitation. I would like to see his instincts grow a little bit and want to see how he does against some better competition but overall this is gonna be a guy who makes it to training camp and you start to hear about within a franchise. He’s going to be a gem and a steal for the team and cannot wait to see how he does at the next level.
Draft Overview —
I expect Keaton to go around early Day 3. With this my grade for him is a fringe top 100 grade and think he brings a spark to any team. He can come in as a special teams contributor at the least, and at the most a leader for your defense to build on. I would love to see him land in these fits: Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Bucaneers, Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, and the Houston Texans. Andreas Keaton will be a steal and a guy I belive teams kick themselves for not taking with their selection.
