General Manager Applications: Tennessee Titans

Cole Plant January 17, 2025
titanshelmet

Today, I’m here to rebuild the Tennessee Titans while I am acting as the de facto GM, I even will list my GM pick for the Titans. This was a fun team to rebuild and research not much money to move and much to resign but a team with an offensive coach and an almost finished OL with fun pieces all over the board. So without further ado here is my rebuild on fixing the Titans!

General Manager Pick:

My General Manager pick for this team is non other than top 5 GM in the NFL, Jason Lichts right hand man John Spytek. Spytek has 21 years in the front offices of multiple teams, starting off at 24 as an intern of operations with the Detroit Lions. Moving up the college scouting ranks all the way to Assistant General Manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He offers a great sense of cap management and contracts as well as a premier eye for identifying talent through the draft.

Total Cap Space Pre Cuts and Restructures — 55,066,232 Million

Cuts and Restructures:

Like I said in the overview, there’s not many cuts and not much money to move but, there’s enough to get about 10 million added to the positive cap. Starting off with a relatively obvious one, we start off by cutting Kenneth Murray, he adds on 7,410,000 million to the cap by releasing him. My next and final move is a restructure of star EDGE rusher Harold Landry. The restructure of Landry adds on 2.75 million in cap space for the Titans.

Resignings:

We’ll start with the resigning of 3 players. The first one is Jerome Baker to a 2 year 7 million dollar deal totaling to 3.5 million a year on a cap hit. Next is Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, I am electing to sign him to a 2 year 7 million dollar deal as well totaling to a 3.5 million dollar hit to the cap, a good signing as he can become a solid power slot for the Titans. My last resigning is Dillon Radunz, while not the greatest player he offers depth at the Guard spot and can come in and start for them in a pinch. I am signing Radunz to a 1 year 2.8 million dollar deal.

Free Agent Signings:

Let’s start with the big and obvious signing, the Titans need a QB, there’s one guy in FA worth giving a contract too for them and it’s Sam Darnold. Im electing to signing him to a 3 year 31.85 million dollar deal that tallies to about 106.9 million dollars through 3 years. My next signing is Commanders Safety/LB Jeremy Chinn. He has proven to grow into himself and reform back into his rookie self where he was a stud for the Panthers, I am electing to sign him to a 2 year 9 million dollar deal that’s worth 4.5 million to the cap per year.

After FA and Resigning Cap Total — 4 million of useable CapSpace
