Here is my first 2-round mock of the year! This mock is done with the full, complete draft order following the Eagles Super Bowl win over the Chiefs. This mock covers 2 rounds of team needs and includes insight from what we saw down in Mobile for the Senior Bowl. Don’t forget to follow me on X @jvertDraft

Round 1

  1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

There have been reports of the Titans taking multiple players at #1 but at this point, over 2 months before the draft we don’t have a solid clue. In my opinion, Brian Callahan’s need for a QB to run his offense will trump other prospects who may be graded higher. Cam Ward is my QB1 and will likely be the first QB off the board because of some of the physical traits that he has over Shedeur.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

The Browns roster is old, expensive, and lacks a lot of talent. To add to those issues, their best player, Myles Garrett, has recently requested a trade. The Browns shouldn’t overthink this pick and force a QB selection this early unless they’re in love with the QB prospect that is on the board. The Browns best move would be to pick the best player available on their board or trade back with a team that is desperate for a QB. In this mock, where there are no trades, the Browns select Travis Hunter who has the capability to be an all-pro at either WR or CB here at number 2.

  1.  New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The Giants are desperate to land their franchise guy at the QB position which has been said by everyone under the sun so a QB selection here at 3 is almost a guaranteed thing unless Ward and Sanders go picks 1 and 2. Shedeur Sanders is my QB2 in the draft and I think he will be for most teams and his fit in New York would be seen very early and raise the floor of the offense tremendously

  1. New England Patriots: Abdul Carter, ED, Penn State

The Patriots are in a very advantageous spot here at the 4th overall pick. As long as 2 of the first 3 picks are QBs, the Pats should stand pat here at 4 and pick whoever falls to them between Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter. In this scenario the guy that falls into their lap is Abdul Carter. This pick would be ideal for New England’s new coach, Mike Vrabel, who is a fan of building through the trenches and saw first hand how a lack of pass rush can hurt a team because of his time in Tennessee. Carter would be a slam dunk first selection for the new regime.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

The most popular selection among the mock draft community is the Jaguars taking Mason Graham at 5th overall and going off of my board he’d be the pick here for me as well. However, that pick is so common that I wanted to go a new direction here to change up from the common scenario we’ve been seeing. The Jaguars have a couple of holes on their team and one that is slightly overlooked is WR. Outside of Brian Thomas Jr who had an amazing rookie season the Jags have Christian Kirk, who is sadly always hurt, and Gabe Davis who looks like a bad signing after his first year with the team. With the success that Jaguars new head coach, Liam Coen’s former team had with Mike Evans, a player with a similar play style like Tetairoa McMillan could be a dark horse option at 5th overall.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

The Raiders are likely out of the picture when it comes to getting the draft’s top 2 QBs so they’re going to need to pivot here in the top 10 of the draft. The hirings of Pete Carroll as their head coach and Chip Kelly as their OC were very surprising but finally give some indicators as to what the Raiders may do. Both Carroll and Kelly are coaches who love to run the ball and had their most success when their teams had a run-first game plan and here at 6 they have an opportunity to get a bonafide star at the RB position. Ashton Jeanty has barely any holes in his game and as a player who can go anywhere in the 10-12 picks in the draft, 6th overall to the Raiders is a very likely possibility.

  1. New York Jets: Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan

The Jets are in a weird position right now and we won’t be able to tell what their game plan might be for the offseason until there is some news surrounding Aaron Rodgers and their other veteran players. The Jets miss out on the best receivers in the draft with Hunter and McMillan off the board so they pivot and continue to build the defensive line which is always a good move for any team. Mason Graham is a true, 3-down defensive tackle and pairing him with Quinnen Williams and the Jets young core of edge rushers makes their defensive line extremely scary.

  1. Carolina Panthers: James Pearce Jr, ED, Tennessee

The Panthers biggest hole on their roster is their pass rush. They had absolutely no threat to get after the QB in 2024 which was the biggest reason they kept ending up in shoot outs and couldn’t finish those close games late in the season. At 8, they should have their choice of any edge rusher aside from Abdul Carter and based on my evaluation the next best guy is James Pearce Jr. Pearce is a very debated prospect across draft media and many casual fans think he was terrible in 2024 because he didn’t absolutely dominate every game. Pearce was extremely good in 2024 but simply didn’t have the flashy stats that he was hyped up to have as a junior. His tools and speed off the edge will be highly coveted by NFL teams and he could go higher than a lot of people expect.

  1. New Orleans Saints: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Saints offensive line has been an issue for years and some of their recent picks haven’t worked out to help that group. Trevor Penning has not reached the ceiling some people expected him to and he should move inside to guard to try and save his career. Picking Will Campbell at 9 gives them a ton of flexibility on the offensive line and bolsters the floor of their unit greatly.Campbell could play both tackle or guard spots immediately for New Orleans because of his IQ and mentality and this selection would give the Saints an opportunity to put their best 5 guys out there up front and find a group that works for them.

  1. Chicago Bears: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama

The Bears must improve their offensive line, their interior line specifically and with Ben Johnson as the new head coach, the line will be valued more than ever. Tyler Booker is a pure guard and with this pick, the Bears will have to leave Braxton Jones at left tackle for at least one more season. Tyler Booker is my highest graded offensive lineman in the entire draft, unless I consider Will Campbell a guard, and with no glaring weaknesses in his game, we could see Booker go very high in April.

  1. San Francisco 49ers: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

The 49ers absolutely have to get better upfront if they hope to get back to a Super Bowl and actually win one. They have a bad habit of sticking with subpar offensive lineman that they picked late in drafts despite the fact that they are clearly not great players at the NFL level. Armand Membou was a guy who really surprised me and his athletic traits at the offensive tackle position are next level. If the 49ers are willing to go off the beaten path when it comes to their classic long, lanky, and quite honestly slow right tackle archetype that they love and pick a guy like Membou, the sky is the limit for what a player like this could do for their offense.

  1. Dallas Cowboys: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

The Cowboys offense needs to get better in some way shape or form and the ideal pick for them at 12 would be Ashton Jeanty but in this scenario, he’s long gone. So, Dallas can turn to the pass game and focus on getting another playmaker to free up Ceedee Lamb and give Dak Prescott another weapon. Luther Burden is a dynamic playmaker who can play outside or in the slot and him and Lamb paired together gives Dallas a ton of flexibility to move guys all around the formation and put the defense in a bind. Burden didn’t have the greatest season on paper in 2024 but he’s one of those players who has undeniable talent and should end up getting picked high in April.

  1. Miami Dolphins: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas

The Dolphins picking an offensive lineman is the closest you can get to a sure thing in the NFL draft and Kelvin Banks fits the Dolphins scheme perfectly. Banks has athleticism and size that the Dolphins will love and he finally gives them a guy who has been dominant against premier competition to fill their left tackle spot.

  1. Indianapolis Colts: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The Colts need to get better in the secondary and corner is their primary position of need. Will Johnson is a top 5 talent in the draft but concerns over his long speed and the multitude of injuries he battled in 2024 seem like they have caused concern in NFL front offices. These concerns could end up pushing him down the draft board and if he lasts this long and the Colts have an opportunity to snag him I am confident that they will be very happy with the result.

  1. Atlanta Falcons: Mike Green, ED, Marshall

The Falcons need some juice off the edge and Mike Green is the definition of that. Green is probably the best pure pass rusher in the draft and his tools and speed off the edge are going to be highly sought after early in the draft. With 17 sacks in 2024 and a stellar 2 day stint at the Senior Bowl the question isn’t whether the Marshall product will be a first round pick it’s how high will be go.

  1. Arizona Cardinals: Walter Nolen, IDL, Ole Miss

The Cardinals out performed expectations in 2024 and they should continue to build on that success going into 2025. The Cardinals lack young talent in the front of their defense outside of last year’s 27th overall pick, Darius Robinson. At 16, the Cardinals are able to add another versatile, talented defensive lineman with Walter Nolen. Nolen has had some issues with motor and other off the field things but his tape in 2024, his performance in Mobile and some positive reviews I’ve seen from NFL front offices give me hope that is all behind him. Nolen’s best football is ahead of him and as long as he stays locked in mentally there’s no reason he can’t become a dominant interior pass rusher.

  1. Seattle Seahawks: Malaki Starks, SAF, Georgia

The Seahawks biggest need is probably at edge rusher but with no clear fit here at 17 I have them going in an interesting direction. Malaki Starks is graded as a top 10 player in the draft on my board but there is always a possibility that talented players at positions that aren’t valued very high can slip down the draft board. At 17, the Seahawks end Starks’ slide and put together the undisputed best young secondary in the NFL by adding him to a unit that already contains Devon Witherspoon, Riq Woolen and Coby Bryant. It’s unclear what spot Starks would primarily play but with a guy this talented you don’t overthink the pick, you get the guy and figure it out later.

  1. Cincinnati Bengals: Shemar Stewart, ED, Texas A&M

The Bengals have had a DPOY caliber edge rusher on the roster that they have been reluctant to pay and until they do it’s looking like Trey Hendrickson won’t be back with the team. If they do move on from him they will have a huge hole at edge rusher and landing a player with great natural athleticism and size would benefit their defense greatly. Shemar Stewart gives them day 1 run defense skills with a high ceiling as a pass rusher.

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jalon Walker, ED, Georgia

Edge rusher is the biggest need that the Buccaneers have this offseason and they’ll need to address the position to take the next step as a team. Jalon Walker is on the smaller side for a true edge rusher, but his speed and athleticism off the edge is unmatched and his ability to play in coverage gives him a lot of versatility for teams to maximize.

  1. Denver Broncos: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Tyler Warren has the capability to go a lot higher than this but in a scenario where he does start to slide, I think pick 20 is his floor. Sean Payton loves to use his TEs and with an offense in need of more playmakers, Warren would be the ideal fit for the Broncos. Warren’s size and athletic ability could make him this offense’s #1 receiving threat very early on in his career.

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

The Steelers desperately need a WR because outside of George Pickens, who has issues of his own, they have nothing. I don’t like the Emeka Egbuka fit as much as I would if Roman Wilson wasn’t in Pittsburgh because their styles are very similar but in the Steelers case they just need talent and Egbuka is the best WR left on the board at this spot.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers: Kenneth Grant, IDL, Michigan

The Chargers have a lot of pending free agents and aging players in their front 7 and adding youthful talent to that group should be the teams top priority this offseason. Kenneth Grant has a rare mix of size and athleticism as a defensive tackle and could play both nose tackle and 3-technique for the Chargers and give them a huge piece to build around in the middle of their defense.

  1. Green Bay Packers: Nic Scourton, ED, Texas A&M

The Packers need to improve at edge rusher and give Rashawn Gary a better running mate. The Packers hoped that Lukas Van Ness could have evolved into that type of player but so far he hasn’t looked like a true starting edge rusher at the NFL level. Nic Scourton fits the Packers mold of player that they target early in the draft and if he plays like he did in 2023, getting him at 23 would be a steal.

  1. Minnesota Vikings: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

I personally don’t see all of the hype surrounding Jahdae Barron, especially as early as the top 20 but from what it looks like, it’ll be a surprise if he makes it this far. The Vikings desperately need another corner and Barron’s experience outside and in the slot gives them a lot of flexibility to move guys around and see what works.

  1. Houston Texans: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

The Texans’ struggles this season could largely be attributed to their lack of production on the offensive line. The Texans specific need is at guard, but with no clear selection at guard available at 25 they can pivot and keep Tytus Howard inside at guard and select a top OT like Josh Simmons. If Simmons didn’t suffer the knee injury in Ohio State’s 5th game of the season, his elite play would have landed him a lot higher than this in April but the injury gives the Texans an opportunity to land him at 25.

  1. Los Angeles Rams: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State

The Rams have a great young core on their roster along with some great veteran leadership. The Rams do however need a corner and don’t have any young talent at the position. Azareye’h Thomas has all the necessary tools and the size to be a true CB1 at the NFL level and could give the Rams exactly the type of young potential star they need in their secondary.

  1. Baltimore Ravens: Josh Conerly, OT, Oregon

The Ravens are set to lose their long time starting left tackle, Ronnie Stanley, in free agency. Stanley was able to play the full season in 2024 which is something he has never done in his career. Despite Stanley’s health in 2024 it is likely best if the Ravens move on and get younger at the position. Josh Conerly had an amazing 2024 campaign and would be able to slide right in at the Ravens left tackle slot.

  1. Detroit Lions: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The Lions were decimated by injury in 2024 which was the ultimate reason for their early playoff exit. Detroit can use depth across all levels of their defense including corner. The Lions are also going to potentially lose one of their starters, Carlton Davis to free agency. Benjamin Morrison is a top 20 lock if his injury checks out at the combine and teams aren’t worried it will be a nagging issue for him so he’s well worth the risk for a Super Bowl contender at pick 28.

  1. Washington Commanders: Mykel Williams, ED, Georgia

The Commanders defense played very well under first year head coach, Dan Quinn, but outside of Dorrance Armstrong, all of their edge rushers are upcoming free agents. Landing a young talented player at edge rusher would be a huge move for the Commanders future Super Bowl hopes. Although I don’t see Mykel Williams as a first round prospect, it’s pretty clear that the NFL sees him as one and there’s a good chance he doesn’t even fall this far. Mykel has a lot of raw talent and if coached right could develop into a very talented pro.

  1. Buffalo Bills: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

The Bills offense was carried by there MVP quarterback, Josh Allen, and when they needed their playmakers to step up they didn’t seem to have the talent that could do so. The Bills have many needs, including WR, and landing a player like Jayden Higgins could help their offense substantially. Higgins has a rare combination of size, speed, and route running ability that could help him develop into a true WR1.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

The Chiefs brutal Super Bowl loss was a microcosm of their season as a whole. The Chiefs kept winning all season despite noticeable holes across their offense and it all came to a head in the biggest game. The Chiefs desperately need an offensive tackle but at 31, there isn’t a clean and polished player on the board and I have a hard time projecting them to take another project player at tackle. Instead, they pivot and find a successor to their Hall of Fame TE, Travis Kelce, who had his struggles this season and could be a cap casualty this offseason. Loveland gives them a familiar pass catching and route running skillset that could fill a potential void left by Kelce.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles: Princely Umanmielen, ED, Ole Miss

The Eagles had a great performance in the Super Bowl, largely thanks to their pass rush. This pass rush is slated to lose a couple players to free agency or retirement and will need to retool through the draft. Princely Umanmielen is a very toolsy and quick pass rusher who should fit their 3-4 scheme under Vic Fangio. Princely may need some time to develop, similar to 2023 first round pick, Nolan Smith, but the Eagles have the staff to mold him into a great player.

Round 2

  1. Cleveland Browns: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

The Browns have holes at both tackle positions due to injury and pending free agency and getting a potential future starter is incredibly important for the Browns this offseason. Aireontae Ersery is a physical gifted and imposing athlete who could use some work from a technical standpoint but with the right coaching he can develop into a tremendous starter at the NFL level.

  1. New York Giants: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

The Giants landed their QB of the future in Round 1 with Shedeur Sanders and here in the 2nd round it’s time to get them another weapon. Outside of Malik Nabers, the Giants don’t have much talent in their receiving core and upgrading that group is essential for the success of the team and for Shedeur Sanders’ development. Matthew Golden is a prototypical starting WR in the NFL, he has size, speed, separation ability and good hands. Golden emerged as Texas’ top pass catcher later on in the season and has now turned into a very good NFL prospect.

  1. Tennessee Titans: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford

The Titans are in a very similar boat as the New York Giants and after selecting their franchise QB they will need to get playmakers for him to throw to. Calvin Ridley is the only starting caliber WR under contract in Tennessee for 2025 so adding to that group is extremely important. Elic Ayomanor blew up in 2023 after famously torching Travis Hunter and he has been on the draft radar ever since. Ayomanor is big, fast, athletic and has tons of tools you want in a starting WR and would start on the outside for Tennessee immediately.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Shavon Revel, CB, Eastern Carolina

The Jaguars need a corner on the opposite side of Tyson Campbell and with the CB class as deep as it is this year they have a great chance to land a day 1 starter at the top of the 2nd round. Shavon Revel is one of the most intriguing players in the 2025 draft class and if he didn’t suffer a torn ACL in practice early in the season, he probably would be a definite first round pick. If the medical exams check out we could still see him go round 1 and he’s well worth the risk for the Jaguars here at 36.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

The Raiders struggled in the back end of their defense in 2024 and they are slated to lose their 3 starting safeties and a starting corner to free agency. The Raiders will likely be able to retain a few of their own guys but adding depth in the secondary will be a top priority that they could even address at #6 overall. At 37 they land a quick riser on NFL draft boards, Ole Miss’, Trey Amos. Amos is a big, physical corner who took a huge leap and had a great season in 2024.

  1. New England Patriots: Cameron Williams, OT, Texas

The Patriots continue to build through the trenches in this mock by selecting Texas offensive tackle Cameron Williams, in addition to Abdul Carter. Cameron Williams had a lot of hype throughout 2024 and was getting first round buzz for awhile, but he had some issues dealing with the top level talent he faced in the college football playoff. Williams is a very young player with a lot of promise but he’ll need a year to sit and learn before being trusted to protect Drake Maye.

  1.  Chicago Bears: Donovan Ezeiruaku, ED, Boston College

The Bears are blessed to have their entire starting defense under contract again in 2024. However, the Bears do need to address their pass rush issues and get another guy who can get after the QB on the opposite side of Montez Sweat. Donovan Ezeiruaku is arguably the most polished pure pass rusher in the class but his lack of size will probably push him to day 2. Ezeiruaku should be a day 1 starter for the Bears and raise their pass rush floor substantially.

  1. New Orleans Saints: Nick Emmanwori, SAF, South Carolina

The Saints secondary is in a full rebuild after the trade of Marshon Lattimore and they could free up some money by releasing Tyrann Mathieu with a post June 1st designation. The Saints will likely be searching for 2 new starters at safety and a player like Nick Emmanwori would be a good get for New Orleans. Emmanwori is an extremely gifted athlete and played very well in 2024 but after watching the tape, I’m not on board with the idea of him being a 1st round pick. Emmanwori had some issues with technique in coverage that push him to be a day 2 pick for me but with his athletic profile, the sky is the limit.

  1. Chicago Bears: Omarion Hampton, RB, UNC

The Bears are back on the clock just 2 picks after selecting Donovan Ezeiruaku and at 41 they can make a luxury pick and get a guy who can accel in their new offensive scheme. The Bears just signed D’Andre Swift last offseason but he wasn’t much of a needle mover for them so selecting Omarion Hampton is an easy choice. Omarion Hampton is one of the best players in the entire class and his vision and explosiveness in a Ben Johnson run game will make him a star.

  1. New York Jets: Jack Bech, WR, TCU

The Jets landed Mason Graham in round 1 and even though interior defensive line wasn’t a huge need for them they are able to form a very scary group up front with that selection. At 42 they decide to address a huge need by taking a WR to play alongside Garrett Wilson. Jack Bech had a great season and followed it up with a great Senior Bowl performance and his catching ability and mindset will make him a top target for whoever the Jets have at QB.

  1. San Francisco 49ers: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

The Niners addressed their need for an offensive lineman on day 1 and the next biggest need for this team is just dept across the board on defense. The 49ers are likely losing former All-pro cornerback, Charvarius Ward to free agency but with Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green both looking like extremely good young players they have the flexibility to take a corner who may not be needed as a day 1 starter. Darien Porter hasn’t been playing corner very long but his natural talent is very evident on film. Porter needs work on the technical side but his size and athletic ability paired with his natural ball skills give him a great foundation to become a long-term starter on the outside for San Francisco.

  1. Dallas Cowboys: Tyleik Williams, IDL, Ohio State

The Cowboys run defense was absolutely horrible last season and teams that wanted to run the ball and had a half decent offensive line ran all over them and controlled the entire game. Tyleik Williams isn’t going to offer much as a pass rusher like many scouts were hoping he’d show in his final season but he’s an extremely good run stopper and will give the Cowboys a consistent early down presence in the middle of their defense.

  1. Indianapolis Colts: Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas

The most popular pick for the Colts at #14 overall is Tyler Warren because of their huge hole at TE. Luckily for them, this is a very deep and talented TE class and if they pass on Warren for a better player like they did in this mock, they should still be very happy with who they land. Gunnar Helm was an unexpected breakout for Texas in 2024 but he put his wide range of skills on display for the Longhorns all season. Helm has the size, athleticism, and all around game to be a good starting TE at the next level.

  1. Atlanta Falcons: TJ Sanders, IDL, South Carolina

In addition to their need at edge rusher, the Falcons could also use some more youth on the interior of their defensive line. They still have talented players on the interior and drafted a few guys in later rounds last year but adding another pick to the group wouldn’t hurt. TJ Sanders is a very talented interior pass rusher and would fit very well in the Falcons 3-4 scheme as a 3-technique defensive tackle.

  1. Arizona Cardinals: Donovan Jackson, IOL, Ohio State

The Falcons need to upgrade their offensive line, especially on the interior. Both starting guard spots could be improved with the selection of Donovan Jackson from Ohio State. Jackson ended up playing left tackle for a large portion of the season for Ohio State due to injuries but that doesn’t change the fact that he is an extremely solid guard with day 1 starting capabilities at the NFL level.

  1. Miami Dolphins: Omarr Norman-Lott, IDL, Tennessee

The Dolphins are losing a lot of players to free agency from the interior of their defensive line and need to get better on the interior to take some of the pass rushing pressure off of their edge rushers. Omarr Norman-Lott is a very intriguing player on the interior but he was a very disruptive pass rusher for Tennessee in 2024 and his speed and agility should catch the eye of Mike McDaniel’s staff.

  1. Cincinnati Bengals: Grey Zabel, IOL, NDSU

The Bengals need to improve at both guard positions and center in order to make sure their early season woes that kept them out of the playoffs don’t happen again. Grey Zabel was one of the biggest stars of the senior bowl and he has the flexibility to play either guard spot or center and would give the Bengals the flexibility to put their best 5 offensive lineman on the field in 2025.

  1. Seattle Seahawks: Landon Jackson, ED, Arkansas

The Seahawks have to improve their pass rush in 2025 in order to be more competitive and get over the hump and into the playoffs. Landon Jackson has the big frame and skills that Seattle will like on the edge and his consistently solid play and pass rush bag will help their pass rush rotation substantially in 2025.

  1. Denver Broncos: Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa

The Broncos are likely going to let Javonte Williams walk in free agency and they’ll need to add talent to their RB room because they don’t have a true RB1 on the roster. Kaleb Johnson is an extremely talented player and his running style would fit the Broncos very well. Sean Payton also loves to have a great RB duo and Kaleb Johnson paired with Audric Estime gives the Broncos a very good one, two punch. He should step in as one of their top playmakers as a rookie and help continue to build this offense to help Bo Nix succeed.

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

The Steelers CB core, outside of Joey Porter Jr, is a very grim looking group. The Steelers will need to address corner early in the draft and 52 seems like a great spot to do so. Maxwell Hairston stood out at the Senior Bowl and didn’t lose a rep in coverage which is rare for a CB and it felt like he didn’t get the attention he deserved for his performance. Hairston had a down year in 2024 but overall, Kentucky was a disaster and his 2023 tape and performance against top competition at the Senior Bowl could land him a Day 2 selection.

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

I doubt Lavonte David leaves Tampa in free agency and if he’s not on the team in 2025 it’s likely because he decided to retire. If he decides to play again he is still a starting caliber LB alongside SirVocea Dennis. Either way, the Bucs will be in need of depth and youth at LB and landing a player like Jihaad Campbell in the 2nd round would be a slam dunk and give them a great young piece for the future.

  1. Green Bay Packers: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

The Packers receiver room is very crowded with a lot of players who have the potential to take over as the teams WR1 but haven’t been able to put the pieces together to do it. The Packers need to take another stab at the position to try and find a guy to become the alpha of their receiving core. Tre Harris has the size, speed, production combo to become a top WR in the NFL and I’m excited to see him play outside of the Ole Miss system because he has the chance to flourish like other Ole Miss Day 2 picks, AJ Brown and DK Metcalf.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers: Jack Sawyer, ED, Ohio State

The Chargers continue to build up their defensive line with this pick in addition to getting Kennth Grant at 22. The Chargers still have Joey Bosa under contract and could bring back Khalil Mack but both players are old and have injury concerns. Picking a steady player who can stay on the field and be a rotational pass rusher early in his career would be a huge get for the Chargers and Jack Sawyer fits the bill. John Harbaugh knows Sawyer very well after coaching against him and the energy and passion he plays with will impress Harbaugh.

  1. Buffalo Bills: Derrick Harmon, IDL, Oregon

The Bills need to get better up front on defense and landing a young interior defensive lineman will greatly improve their defense for 2025 and the future. Derrick Harmon put it all together in his first season as a Duck and gives the Bills much needed versatility and depth.

  1. Carolina Panthers: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

The Panthers are going to have a long wait after they make their first selection at #8 overall and it could be rough for them and their fans to watch receivers fly off the board if they don’t select one at 8. Here at 57 with a lot of the receivers gone they may be forced to take a flyer on a guy like Isaiah Bond. Bond’s inconsistency was his biggest issue in 2024 and the reason he went from a top 20 projected pick in the middle of the season to a fringe day 2 guy here in February but his talent is undeniable and the Panthers may be willing to take the risk.

  1. Houston Texans: Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami

The Texans went from having one of the most exciting receiving cores at the start of 2024 to it being a huge issue for them heading into the offseason. Stefan Diggs is likely gone in free agency and Tank Dell’s serious knee injury puts his 2025 season in real jeopardy so the Texans need to select a guy in April to fill the void. Xavier Restrepo is the perfect fit in Houston and his route running and consistent play will give CJ Stroud the security blanket he needs to be successful.

  1. Baltimore Ravens: Xavier Watts, SAF, Notre Dame

The injuries in the Ravens secondary forced them to move some guys to positions that they don’t ideally play later in the season. This along with the likely departure of Marcus Williams and Brandon Stephens makes safety an ideal pick for them early in the draft. Xavier Watts is a steady, high IQ player in the back end and adding him to the secondary will help the Ravens defense stabilize and have more consistency across the board.

  1. Detroit Lions: JT Tuimalaou, ED, Ohio State

The Lions need another player on the defensive line opposite of Aidan Hutchinson and they needed one before last season and not getting one came back to bite them. JT Tuimalaou is a very solid and consistent edge player who may not give the Lions double-digit sacks, but will provide consistent production and stout run defense on the edge of their defensive line. Tuimalaou may never light the stat sheet on fire but he will give the Lions the type of player they need to try and win a Super Bowl.

  1. Washington Commanders: Jonah Savaiinaea, IOL, Arizona

The Commanders biggest need on their offensive line is at offensive tackle but here at 61 I don’t see a player worth picking. However, there are a couple of interior offensive lineman with tackle flexibility that could play tackle for the Commanders in a pinch and provide depth across the entire O line. Jonah Savaiinaea was once projected as a first round tackle but he seems to have reached his ceiling on the outside and it doesn’t look to be consistent NFL starter caliber. His issues can be mitigated by moving inside to guard and he has the skills and size to be very good on the interior.

  1. Buffalo Bills: Andrew Mukuba, SAF, Texas

The Bills lacked a lot of much needed depth in their secondary and injuries in the back end really hurt them throughout the season and in their final game of their season when they lost to the Chiefs yet again. Andrew Mukuba has been an intriguing prospect since his time at Clemson and he really put it together in 2024 and his experience and versatility will have him drafted higher than people expect and his skills are the perfect solution for the Bills’ secondary problems.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles: Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State

The Eagles have been searching for a WR3 for awhile and haven’t found much success outside of the small impact that Jahan Dotso made from time to time. Jaylin Noel brings a new level of dynamic speed to the Eagles receiving core and could emerge as that WR3 they’ve been searching for early on in his career.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Darius Alexander, IDL, Toledo

The Chiefs are once again left at the altar when it comes to finding a tackle and are forced to pivot. Chris Jones is the only interior defensive lineman under contract next season for the Chiefs and they’ll need to add depth through the draft. Darius Alexander is one of the older players in the draft but he has a ton of experience and tools as a pass rusher and his skillset is ideal for a win now team like the Chiefs and would be a perfect rotational piece for their defensive line as a rookie.
