As people begin to declare and accept senior bowl invites, it’s clear that draft season is beginning to heat up. Today, I’ll reveal my mock draft 1.0, and unveil my early predictions for next year in Green Bay. Last year, my final mock predicted a respectable 10/32 picks, including a perfect top 6. Without further ado, let’s dive in.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
The Jaguars elect to take the talented two-player from Jacksonville to boost their secondary and/or receiver room. Hunter is a talented playmaker who will contribute to their playoff chances if selected. This pick is pretty obvious if the Jags get the 1.01.
2. Las Vegas Raiders: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The Raiders will make a solid decision and draft their signal caller of the future in an otherwise weak QB class. They will end up making a choice between Ward and Shedeur, and right now I think they’ll take the Hurricanes QB.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
Although I may not like it, Shedeur will clearly be a top 5 pick. The new regime in New York will likely embrace the flash he brings to the team and will sprint to turn in the card for Sanders.
4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
After passing on Joe Alt last year, the Patriots elect to get some protection supposed franchise QB Drake Maye.
5. Carolina Panther: James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee
Pearce’s stock has been falling, but the Panthers would still be luck to land a guy like him on a team headed in the right direction
6. New York Jets: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Jets need a revamp. Campbell would be a great opposite to Sauce Gardner in the secondary.
7. Tennessee Titans: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
After passing on Rome Odunze last year, the Titans get a pass catcher. It’s likely they would target Nussmeier or Ewers in round two in this scenario.
8. Cleveland Browns: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan
This years DL class is stacked and the Browns take the first one off of the board. It’s unclear if this pick would be a QB, but it’s not out of the question.
9. New Orleans Saints: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State
I may not be the biggest fan of Carter, but I think the Saints will take him to fill the inevitable Cam Jordan sized hole in their defense.
10. Cincinnati Bengals: Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia
The Bengals opt for Edge here in order to sure up their poor defense and compensate for the potential departure of Trey Hendrickson.
11. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas
The Bears take what could be the best OT in the class to protect franchise QB Caleb Williams.
12. Miami Dolphins: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
The Dolphins take the dynamic playmaker from Boise State to add firepower to an already impressive offense. Jeanty could take some pressure off of Tua in future years.
13. Dallas Cowboys: Luther Banks, WR, Mizzou
Dallas opts for the Mizzou playmaker over a potential upgrade in the trenches. They would definitely want Jeanty, but he goes a pick earlier.
14. San Francisco 49ers: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
The 49ers take the talented CB from Notre Dame. Morrison has been siding down board slightly, but still goes in the mid first.
15. Indianapolis Colts: Mykel Williams, S, Georgia
The Colts shore up the secondary with the most talented safety from this year’s class.
16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
Back to back Bulldogs’ defenders go in the mid first. Walker can fill a void that has been left empty since the fall off of Shaq Barrett with some extra pass rush savvy.
17. Los Angeles Rams: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
The Rams prepare for life after Matt Stafford with the selection of Jalen Milroe. The Crimson Tide QB offers some long-term upside as a potential starter.
18. Arizona Cardinals: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
Kenneth Grant goes in the late first to Arizona after some solid seasons of play in Ann Arbor.
19. Atlanta Falcons: Tyleik Williams, DL, Ohio State
After passing on Dallas Turner last year, the Falcons use their FRP to bolster the DLine.
20. Denver Broncos: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Denver gets franchise QB Bo Nix a supposed WR1.
21. Seattle Seahawks: Cameron Williams, OT, Texas
Rumors have been swirling around whether or not Williams plans to declare for the draft this spring. Here I am projecting that he does declare, and that Seattle decides to pick him up to play opposite of Charles Cross.
22. Washington Commanders: Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
Washington follows in the Broncos’ footsteps and opts to provide QB1 Jayden Daniels with another weapon. Harris will look great with Terry McLaurin in the Washington receiver room.
23. Houston Texans: Walter Nolan, DL, Ole Miss
Back-to-back Rebel’s go in the early 20s. The Texan’s add Nolan to play inside of Will Anderson and to establish a potentially dominant DLine.
24. Baltimore Ravens: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
The Ravens draft some protection for Lamar Jackson in Ersery.
25. Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Jim Harbaugh takes his old player Loveland to add to the Chargers’ receiving corps.
26. Pittsburgh Steelers: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
Instead of taking a swing at QB, the Steelers take a receiver to play opposite of George Pickens.
27. Green Bay Packers: Deone Walker, DL, Kentucky
Green Bay drafts a permanent Kenny Clark replacement.
28. Minnesota Vikings: Shavon Revel Jr., CB, ECU
The Vikings have had rotten luck drafting corners, and they have to hope Revel can change that.
29. Philadelphia Eagles: Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M
Philly continues the trend of drafting athletic players on the defensive side of the ball.
30. Buffalo Bills: Shemar Stewart., DL, Texas A&M
Buffalo gets some size in the trenches with this pick
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
The Chiefs plan for a future without Travis Kielce by taking the TE from Penn State.
32. Detroit Lions: Jack Sawyer, Edge, Ohio State
Sawyer fits in the Lions’ locker room like a glove.
Well, there’s my mock. What do you think? Hate it? Love it? What do you disagree and agree with? Let me know on X where I go by @RajFRMScout. Till next time.
