Rajvir Bal’s 2025 QB Big Board

Rajvir Bal November 30, 2024
kyron drones

Quarterback are the most important guys on an NFL offense, and are often a hot commodity in the draft. Each year, the hottest NFL draft takes surround the QB position. As of today, I have done nine evaluations on eight college football quarterbacks that I believe will be NFL picks. Today, I’ll dive into each of them and rank the 1-9.

1. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss

Draft Grade: Early-First

Draft Projection: 2nd Round

Simply put, Dart is my kind of quarterback. He has the natural talent that I believe will put him over the top in terms of NFL performance. His arm, mechanics, and grittiness put him at the top of my board. I project that he will have an all pro level career.

Pro Comp: Elite Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers QB

NFL Crystal Ball: Cleveland Browns

2. Cam Ward, Miami

Draft Grade: Early-First

Draft Projection: 1st Round

I’ll take some credit for predicting Cam Ward’s rise to dominance over the summer. The Miami quarterback has gone from a projected 4th rounder to a projected top five pick in the span of a few months. Pretty deep ball, good decision maker, and good runner; Sounds like a winner to me!

Pro Comp: Deshaun Watson, Browns QB

NFL Crystal Ball: Las Vegas Raiders

3. Carson Beck, Georgia

Draft Grade: Mid-First

Draft Projection: 1st Round

Beck has a lot of the college “tells” of a franchise quarterback. Safe with the ball, good decision maker, and solid accuracy around the field. He needs to improve vs. the blitz and has a lackluster deep-ball. Has the markings of a decent long term starter at the next level.

Pro Comp: Kirk Cousins, Falcons QB

NFL Crystal Ball: New York Giants

4. Quinn Ewers

Draft Grade: Late-First

Draft Projection: 2nd Round

Ewers stock has been falling, but I’m still cautiously optimistic about the Longhorn’s QB. I have a first round grade on him because of his aggressive downfield throwing ability and improvisational skill. His tendency to play hero ball and lack of pro style mechanics will be shortcomings in the NFL.Ewers will need to be under good coaching if he wants to be a franchise guy.

Pro Comp: Carson Wentz, Eagles QB

NFL Crystal Ball: New Orleans Saints

5. Garrett Nussmeier

Draft Grade: Early-Second

Draft Projection: 3rd Round

Nussmeier has quietly been the QB draft riser of this season’s and for good reason. Nuss throws with immense anticipation and likely has plays that NFL GMs salivate over. He looks pro ready, but lacks enough raw talent to warrant a first rounder.

Pro Comp: Case Keenum, Vikings QB

NFL Crystal Ball: Indianapolis Colts

6. Jalen Milroe

Draft Grade: Early-Second

Draft Projection: 1st Round

Milroe has been steadily improving throughout his college career. He has many impressive games under his belt and is bound to woo front offices into drafting him likely higher than they should. He still lacks pro level decision making and mental processing, warranting a day two grade.

Pro Comp: Ryan Tannehill, Titans QB

NFL Crystal Ball: Seattle Seahawks

7. Kyron Drones

Draft Grade: Late-Third

Draft Projection: UDFA

You won’t hear a ton about Drones this cycle, but I think his name is worth mentioning. In my humble opinion, he has all the tools to be a long term backup and potential starter. Continue to watch out for his name, as I think his stock will rise prior to draft day.

Pro Comp: Tyrod Taylor, Jets QB

NFL Crystal Ball: Green Bay Packers

8. Shedeur Sanders

Draft Grade: Early-Fourth

Draft Projection: 1st Round

We can finally address the elephant in the room, or rather, the Buffalo in the room. To be frank, I don’t like Shedeur. I think he is an overhyped mediocre crybaby. He’ll comfortably end up going in the top ten, but I think it will be a mistake due to his poor accuracy and pocket poise.

Pro Comp: Chad Henne, Chiefs QB

NFL Crystal Ball: Dallas Cowboys

9. Drew Allar

Draft Grade: Early-Sixth

Draft Projection: 3rd Round

This brings us to our last place finisher, Drew Allar. Allar lacked a lot of essential QB traits on film, which led me to believe he is not a good quarterback. Allar is a career backup, if that.

Pro Comp: Jacob Eason, Colts QB

NFL Crystal Ball: Miami Dolphins

Well, there’s my ranking! What do you think? Hate it? Love it? What do you disagree and agree with? Let me know on X where I go by @RajFRMScout. Till next time!
