Player Summary:

Senior linebacker from Georgia Southern, lines up almost always inside. Aggressive play style and leadership as the team captain. Displays good mental and physical toughness, and is a scrappy player who plays through the whistle and always wants to be involved in the play. Less than ideal height with a stout and muscular build and thick frame. Broad shoulders, thick arms, and developed legs, he has marginal weight and lacks top-end speed and acceleration, which affects his effectiveness as a chase-down tackler. In run defense, his recognition instincts are average, and while he is a decent finisher on tackles, he struggles to disengage effectively from larger offensive linemen once they get inside his pads. He does a good job keeping his hips square when tackling oncoming ball carriers, and is solid in tackling behind the line of scrimmage and in the flats. His pass coverage instincts are mediocre, though he manages to cover running backs adequately and make open-field tackles. He has an average amount of body control and balance, sometimes it seems as if he is playing too out of control. His discipline at the line of scrimmage is mediocre, and his read and react ability is marginal. He gives good effort and has a strong motor,  despite some limitations in speed and technical aspects.

Power Statement: 

Undersized linebacker with stout, thick build, with a marginal amount of speed and instincts. Good aggressiveness, and strong motor. He will always play to the whistle, and has enough discipline to play well on open field tackles. Needs to play more under control and continue to develop.
